Battling it out with the surf might have been the easier option......
Fortunately, when we switched our attention from the southern half to the northern half of
the island, things began to fall into place.
Three days into a one-week trip and all of the island's special birds were playing hard to
get. Lots of barren semi-desert and not much sign of life......
